Works in the Eureka! grounds – important info
Posted by Rebecca Oberg on
Our museum Projects Team need to make some essential repairs to the Eureka! grounds over the coming weeks, which all parents and carers need to be aware of.
As of Monday 26th September, large sections of the grounds along the yellow brick road – shown by the red dotted line on the image below – will be blocked off while we replace the surface. The Projects Team is looking into some brilliantly playful touches to add to our grounds over the longer term, but felt we needed to pave the way (pardon the pun) for our longer term plans by laying a new surface in the short term.
For Nursery parents and carers, this means that:
- You will not be able to use the lay-by spaces for drop-off and pick up, as they will be needed for access.
- While work is underway, please park in the museum car park when dropping off or picking up. There are usually lots of spaces available close to the white railway bridge at the start and end of the day.
- There will still be pedestrian access to the nursery entrance via the paths, but you won’t be able to cut across the grass.
Apologies for any inconvenience and thanks for your patience.
